Glimpse #76, Nidaros Cathedral, Trondheim

Nidaros is the ancient name for Trondheim. The shuttle from the ship dropped me off at this cathedral. When I was last here, I spent a lot of time in and around the cathedral, so it was nice to come back. The two organs, the Wagner Organ and the Niedermeyer Organ, were both restored in the mid-1990's. Music is very important to this cathedral, and there are frequent international concerts. They have five permanent choirs, the boys' choir, the girls' choir, the adult choir, the adult chamber choir, and the female gregorian choir. (Perhaps you can tell I used to be a choir director.)
