Peruvian Patchwork

One of the pleasures of traveling to South America is observing the talents of the local quilters. This is an example of quilting with genuine wool from the vicuña .

Patchwork, done by hand.

The vicuña is an important Peruvian Andean animal (the National Animal of Peru), and has a prominent place on the Peruvian Coat of Arms.

Donde menos imaginamos encontramos obras de arte anónimas.

Thanks for sharing your little Vicuna quilt, these would not be easy to make and it looks so cute and cuddly. Cheers Glenda
