My goal while staying in Jamestown was to finish the first block of the Civil War Bride, as well as this Mary Simon block (5E). The reason I was dragging my feet on this one was because of that white flower in the middle. I really wanted to retain the white flower, but was concerned it really wouldn't show up very well. I had never done a white flower before. I think it came out OK.
