That's Patches on the left, and Spooky on the right (19 pounds worth of cat). The cat at the end of the bed is stuffed (Spooky's special friend). Their "Mom" is a world-renowned applique artist. You'll have to go ask my cat, Mandu, who that is.
I am so happy that you visit my blog, it was a surprise for me that someone from the States has leave me some words there, thank you very much. I found your blog very interesting and I think we have many things in common. I´m crazy about cats too. Mine is a Bristhish Blue and he is got such a nice caracter...so sweet. Dear Jane quilt was a love a first sight for me but.... it is so difficult to achive without a teacher, so hard to find Civil War fabrics here in Spain and so expensive. I believe by the end of that year it will be quilted and finished so I´ll be free to start a Baltimore quilt. Another big challenge.
Great blog! Can you share the applique patterns/designer of the blocks with the content kitties? Absolutely love the block under the grey kitty's head, but love the more folksy feel of these blocks....
Actually....the patterns remind me of an artist to came to Elly's Applique Academy some years ago....quilter from the south, but can't quite recall her name.... will Mandu share :)

Love that quilt and the kitties look right at home now that they got "Stuffy" outta the way..LOL
Not sure I would allow the cat to lay on my quilt no matter how much I love her. Hmmmm..... Nadine
Boy those are two happy cats. Not sure i would allow my cat the same privilege. Who am I kidding? No way. They do look cute though, Nadine
