Falling backwards over a pile of bricks was a very stupid thing to do.
Next Wednesday, the surgeon will screw me back together. Meanwhile, I endure.
Then I will be the experimental guinea pig to answer the question, "How long will it take to get stitching again?"
Good news--Doc says we can still go on our 50th wedding anniversary cruise to circumnavigate Australia. I'll be seeing Gail in Gatton and her applique friends, so that will be a highlight of the trip!
To be continued......
(No stitching at the moment)

I just discovered your blog and am sorry it happened right when you went out of commission. Lucky me that I have all your old posts to read. Good news on getting to go on your cruise. 50 years is quite a milestone!
A good time for reading, since you can't stitch at the moment. Congratulations on reaching 50 years!

Take care Margaret. All the best for next Wednesday.
Congratulations on 50 years of marriage. A wonderful milestone!
Enjoy the cruise!
Hi Margaret, I broke the top off my humerus and then broke that into a couple of pieces in a fall two years ago. I had surgery to screw it back together and then had to have the screws removed a couple of months later. I was able to stitch after the surgery when the arm was in a sling. After being very diligent with my physio, I have regained full use of my shoulder and arm. Sometimes it will ache before a change in the weather but otherwise it is good as new. And a great story about falling over in Williamsburg at the Academy of Applique :-) All the best with the surgery. Hope to see you in Brisbane. Christine
So sorry to hear about your fall. I hope all goes well with the surgery especially with such a nice trip in your horizon.
